What is the evil eye?
For centuries, dating back to the Romans, the evil eye has been said to ward off evil gazes that one may give (intentionally or not!) and cause the individual misfortune. This symbol is celebrated in Greek cultures, Turkish heritage, Mexican cultures (called the Mal De Ojo there), Persian cultures, and Arab cultures. While many believe the symbol or amulet holds the power to protect and ward off bad energies, others wear it to celebrate their culture and heritage.
Whatever your purpose for celebrating, Jasmine + Marigold is honored to create this symbol that is celebrated in my husband's culture.
