What doesthekeffiyeh symbolize?

The keffiyeh is a traditional Middle Eastern headdress typically worn by Arab men, especially in regions like Palestine, Jordan, and parts of Saudi Arabia. It's characterized by a distinctive checkered pattern, usually black and white, although other colors and patterns are also used.

Historically, the keffiyeh served practical purposes such as protection from the sun, dust, and sand. It also holds cultural significance, symbolizing solidarity, nationalism, and resistance. In the context of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the keffiyeh has become a potent symbol of Palestinian identity and resistance against Israeli occupation. It's often worn as a sign of solidarity with the Palestinian cause by individuals and groups worldwide.

Tell Me About Gaza

The 141-square-mile stretch of land is often depicted by humanitarian organizations as the largest open-air prison on earth, subjecting its inhabitants to a perpetual struggle and adversity. Through its management of entry points, the Israeli government exercises complete authority over the flow of essential goods into the region and the departure of individuals seeking life-saving medical treatment abroad.

Moreover, Israeli-imposed limitations restrict access to35% of Gaza’s agricultural land and nearly90% of its fishing waters, exacerbating the challenge for local Palestinians to secure consistent access to food and natural resources. The ongoing warfare and violence has resulted in more than30,000 Palestinians killed and over70,000 woundedin the Gaza Strip. We aim to raise funds to allow Gazans to rebuild, recover, and heal.
